Discover the scientist within at Sipping Science with Let’s Talk Science
Media are invited to attend Sipping Science with Let’s Talk Science, an informal opportunity for the general public to discuss current scientific issues with leading researchers as part of Science Rendezvous.
WHEN: Saturday, May 8 from 2 p.m. – 4 p.m.
WHERE: The Milk Coffee Bar, 68 University Avenue West, Windsor
WHAT: Scientists include Dr. Phil Graniero, associate professor in the environmental studies program, University of Windsor, and Phil McKay a wind turbines civil engineering master’s student at the University of Windsor, will be on hand at The Milk Coffee Bar to engage customers in lively discussion about scientific issues that are currently in the news, or about their own research. Ask Dr. Graniero about geographic information systems, such as GPS, Google Maps and satellite images, as well as how the landscape and urban pollution affects where plants and animals live.
