Welcome to Ryerson University – our 41st Let’s Talk Science Outreach site!
Ryerson University is our 5th outreach site in the Greater Toronto Area (GTA), joining York University and all three University of Toronto campuses. Dr. Emily Agard in the Department of Chemistry and Biology will be starting up the program. Dr. Agard is a Let’s Talk Science Outreach alumna, and is currently the Coordinator of the Office of Science Outreach and Enrichment (OSOE) at Ryerson University. This new outreach site in downtown Toronto will allow for more science outreach to inner city schools, and will help to meet the demand for classroom visits in the Toronto area.
"We are very much looking forward to working with Let's Talk Science since community engagement and outreach are key priorities for us in the Faculty of Science at Ryerson and we can build on the established strengths of the OSOE. We value and appreciate our connections to students, communities and educators in Toronto and recognize that part of our mandate, as a university, is to engage with youth around issues in science. By reaching out, we are able to give back to our community." - Dean Imogen Coe, Faculty of Science
Let's Talk Science looks forward to working with Ryerson University in partnership with the OSOE to continue to engage youth in the GTA in science, engineering, technology and mathematics.
