Eighteen
Vancouverhigh school students pitted their wits against each other during the first annual Vancouver Brain Bee on March 28.
The
neuroscience competition, styled after a traditional ‘spelling bee’,
was organized by Let’s Talk Science Partnership Program volunteers at
the
Universityof
British Columbiain partnership with the Brain Research Centre.
“All volunteers did an incredible job and displayed outstanding commitment to inspiring discovery in neuroscience,” said Sherri Tran, LTS Partnership Program coordinator from the
Universityof
British Columbia.
The winner of this event, Paul Kendrick Lao,will represent
Vancouverat the National Brain Bee in
Hamiltonthis May.
