How To Get Involved

Classroom Partnerships:

• The Let's Talk Science Program Coordinator will partner you with an educator in Fredericton whose needs match your teaching and research interests
• You contact the educator and decide on an activity plan and date together
• You visit the school and present the activity
• All volunteers are fully supported by the coordinator - activity ideas, supplies, education training and more!

Rural and Remote Outreach:

• A group of volunteers spend a day traveling and presenting to an entire school in rural New Brunswick 
• We work as a team to develop activities that are suitable and adjustable for all age ranges in the school
• We set up in one room of the school or the gymnasium and all of the classes rotate through during the course of the day and we present the activity to each class

Leading UNB tours and Activities:

• Lead visiting students in hands-on activities in a lab
• Invite students to visit your research lab for a tour

Mentorship:

• Get involved in working one-on-one with students in a lab setting or to help them with science fair or extra credit projects
